At the centre of the Foundation’s work stands our Gurukul — a residential campus where children learn in the traditional way, surrounded by everything that makes that education whole. A gaushala on the grounds gives students daily cow seva. An Ayurveda centre offers treatment to the community and carries out research into classical medicine and the herbs grown on campus. A temple shapes the daily rhythm of prayer and festival. And yoga is practised every morning by students and residents alike.

A cow shed on the Gurukul grounds where students learn compassion through daily care.
Traditional treatment and ongoing research into classical formulations and medicinal plants.
Prayer, kirtan and festivals that keep students connected to their cultural roots.
Daily asana and pranayama for physical strength and steadiness of mind.
We provide essential healthcare services, including medical checkups, treatments and access to quality care for all.

We work where we live. You cannot serve a community you visit once a quarter, and a number on an annual report is not the same as a family whose name you know.
A hundred children taught well for ten years is worth more than a thousand reached once. We refuse work we cannot sustain, even when the funding is available.
Schooling, health, animal welfare and cultural life are one problem in a poor household. We answer them in one place rather than referring people between four departments.
Money given for cow feed buys cow feed. Anyone who asks where a contribution went gets a straight answer, not a glossy summary.
An honest account of an organisation includes its limits, so here are ours.
We are not a hospital. Our camps screen, treat common conditions and refer. Surgery, emergency care and specialist management happen elsewhere, and we say so rather than let anyone delay proper treatment.
We do not operate nationally. Our work is concentrated around Noida and Vrindavan. Requests from other states are usually better served by an organisation already rooted there, and we will say so.
We do not take on programmes we cannot fund for years. Starting a school or a shelter and then closing it does more damage than never starting.
We do not make belief a condition of service. Our cultural work is rooted in the Sanatan tradition; nobody is asked what they believe before being fed, treated or admitted.

Hritan Foundation is a registered non-profit governed by a board that meets to review programme delivery, finances and safeguarding. Accounts are maintained for audit and contributions are recorded against the programme for which they were given.
Everyone working with children in the Gurukul is screened, briefed on safeguarding and bound by a written code of conduct. Personal information given to us is used to acknowledge donations, process volunteer applications and keep supporters informed — and for nothing else. We do not sell, rent or trade donor data.
If something has gone wrong, or you believe it has, write to info@hritanfoundation.com or call +91 98111 40431. Complaints are looked into rather than managed.

Yes, it is a registered non-profit. For registration numbers, statutory documents or confirmation of current tax-exemption status, write to info@hritanfoundation.com and we will send them.
From our registered office in Noida (Sector 132) and our seva centre in Vrindavan, serving the districts around both. The Gurukul, gaushala, Ayurveda centre and old age home are the fixed core; camps and cultural programmes travel.
Almost entirely by individual donors — families giving monthly, sponsors funding a bhandara or a term of schooling, and professionals volunteering time and skills. There is no single large backer.
Ask and we will share what we have. We would rather answer a hard question than take money from someone who is not sure about us.
Time and skills are as useful. Teaching, cow care, camp logistics, medical volunteering, accounting, legal advice, translation, photography and design are all needed. See volunteering.
Your contribution, however small, can transform a life. Support our mission in education, healthcare, cow welfare and cultural preservation.
