Why We Publish These
Most charity reporting is written to reassure rather than to inform. It leads with the largest available number, illustrates it with a photograph of a smiling child, and quietly omits the programmes that did not work.
We try to write the other kind. An assessment is only useful if it records what was attempted, what it cost, what actually happened, and what we would do differently. A camp with poor turnout, a fodder crop that failed, a student who dropped out and did not come back — those belong in the report. They are the part we learn from.
They also exist so that a donor can check us. If you have given money to this foundation you are entitled to know what it did, and to be dissatisfied with the answer.
Our Method
What We Measure
Counting the easy things is how organisations avoid the useful ones.

| Health camps | Patients seen | Conditions found by district, how many referrals were actually acted on, how many attendees had not seen a doctor in the previous year. |
| Gaushala | Cows sheltered | Condition on arrival versus six months later, veterinary interventions, fodder cost per animal by season, and how many we had to refuse for lack of capacity. |
| Old age home | Residents housed | Whether families continue to visit, mobility and appetite over time, hospital admissions, and how residents themselves say the year went. |
| Ayurveda centre | Consultations given | Outcomes recorded in a consistent format, formulations documented, plants catalogued, and cases referred onward because they were beyond us. |
| Cultural seva | Meals served | Who was served — sadhus, widows, elders, families — and how many had no other meal that day. |
