Support Our Work

Small Gifts, Real Lives

We do not deal in abstractions. Everything below is something we actually buy, for someone we actually know — a child in our Gurukul, an elder at a health camp, a cow in our Gaushala, a family at a bhandara. Choose the cause that means something to you, give whatever you are able to, and we will tell you exactly where it went.

📚

A Term of Learning

Books, slate and stationery that keep one Gurukul child in class for a full term — and out of a workshop.

👓

The Gift of Sight

Eye screening and spectacles for elders, so they can read a letter and walk a village road without fear.

🐄

Chara Seva

Fresh green chara for one cow in our Gaushala — a full trough every morning and evening, and clean water in between, for thirty days.

🍲

A Hundred Full Plates

One bhandara — a hot, unhurried meal served with respect to around a hundred sadhus, elders and families.

There is no fixed amount and no minimum. Use the form below, tell us which cause you would like to support and what you are able to give — monthly, occasionally or once. No contribution is too small to matter here.

Ways to Give

However Suits You

UPI — scan and pay

The quickest route. Tap any “Donate Now” button on this site to bring up our UPI QR code, or scan the one above with GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM or your bank app.

Bank transfer

Account details are listed above. Please email us the reference number afterwards so we can match the transfer and send your receipt — unattributed transfers are genuinely hard to trace back.

Monthly giving

The most useful of all. A child’s schooling and a cow’s feed are monthly obligations; predictable income is what lets us promise six years instead of one. Tell us the amount and we will set it up.

Sponsor something specific

A term of schooling, a cow for a month, a bhandara, a health camp, or a resident’s year at the old age home. You will be told what happened, not just thanked.

In memory or in honour

Many families sponsor a bhandara or a day’s fodder on a birthday, an anniversary or a shraddh. We will arrange it on the date and confirm once it has been done.

Goods in kind

Fodder, books, stationery, blankets, spectacles and medical consumables are all used. Please check with us first so we do not end up storing what we cannot use.

Common Questions

Donations — Your Questions

How do I know my money went where I said?

Contributions are recorded against the programme you name and spent there. Nobody has the authority to reallocate a restricted donation. Ask us what yours funded and we will tell you specifically.

Will I get a receipt, and is it eligible for 80G?

A receipt is issued for every contribution. For confirmation of the foundation’s current tax-exemption status and the documentation required, write to info@hritanfoundation.com or call +91 98111 40431.

Can I get a refund?

Donations are generally non-refundable, since funds are committed to programmes soon after receipt. Where a payment was made in error — a duplicate, a wrong amount, an unauthorised transaction — write to us within seven days with the details and we will review it.

Is there a minimum amount?

No, and there is no suggested figure either. A great deal of our income arrives in small amounts from people who do not have much themselves. Small and regular beats large and occasional.

Can I donate from outside India?

Please contact us first. Foreign contributions are governed by specific regulations and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot currently accept.

Will you keep contacting me for more?

We send occasional updates on the work. Ask to be removed and you will be, immediately and without a follow-up call. We do not sell, rent or share donor details with anyone.

Can I see where the money goes before I give?

Yes — see our impact reports and policies, or better still, come and visit. Seeing the Gurukul and the gaushala is a stronger argument than anything written here.
